CREW
Commitment: September - May
Students in Stage Crew are enrolled in an X-block course, which means classes are held outside of the regular school day timetable. Crew members are responsible for designing, building, and painting set pieces and props, as well as running the technical elements of our Spring musical during tech and show week. These technical elements include carpentry, painting, crafting, drafting, sound operation, lighting operation, microphone operation, running crew, props mastery, scene running, stage managing, costume creation and management, makeup artistry, and more.
Stage crew meets after school once per week for the majority of the year and begins attending all scheduled rehearsals with the cast in April. Stage crew students require a willingness for hands-on learning, a degree of physical fitness, and a strong work-ethic in order to have a successful and rewarding experience.
At the end of the school year, enrolled Stage Crew students will receive a full course assessment and credit upon completion.
